The world of HR is complex. Myriad personnel, company, and industry-specific aspects are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to daily responsibilities. It requires an exceptional individual to manage it all. At DELTA |v|, that person is Maggie Melkus who joined our team in August 2020.
Maggie joined DELTA |v| to grasp the opportunity to build an HR department from the ground up and support changes for success through her work. In her role, she handles employee relations, performance management initiatives, evaluating new HR systems, and much more. The unpredictability of HR is a plus for Maggie. She loves working with dynamic people and the highly variable nature of the work keeps each day interesting. Maggie’s role is an important part of the bigger picture of DELTA |v| as she empowers employees to be their best and contribute to the overall company objectives.
Maggie earned her BBA from James Madison University with a concentration in European Business and a minor in Human Resource Development. Her proudest accomplishment to date is passing her SHRM-CP certification.
Outside of work, Maggie enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, working out, and being outdoors with her dog, Abby.
