Competitive MX creates chemistry

So much for team building! DELTA |v| professionals take a day to compete in off-road motorcross racing.  This type of event is fitting for our high energy and edgy group.

Our day began early at T-N-T Motorsports in Chester, South Carolina with bagels, coffee and fruit served onsite.  The camaraderie was enjoyable as we took in the view of this huge park consisting of trails and dirt tracks of various complexities.  Our riders also came from a various experiences ranging from zero to skilled.

We were all fitted with biker gear and motorcycles prior to hitting the toddler track for an introduction to safety.  We graduated to the intermediate track, riding trails and competitive tracks as the day progressed.  Most everyone was growing in confidence and a competitive excitement filled the air.  Our instructor finally cut us loose to compete head-to-head on an oval dirt track.  Six of us lined up and gave it everything as dirt flew and riders crashed in the corners.  We raced a few times and a different winner emerged each race.

We all thought we were bad-to-the-bone until our instructor showed us first hand how real competitive dirt bike riding is done by easily jumping over our group.  We capped off the day exaggerating stories and sharing experiences.  It was all good fun and created an opportunity to gel in spite of the intense competition.
