David McNamara joined DELTA |v| as an IT Systems Engineer in 2018. In 2021, David took on the role of IT Lead within the Technology Team. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a BS in Civil Engineering.
In his role, David ensures that all things data and tech run smoothly in the background, from transfers to processing. He is most excited about having the opportunity and freedom to fix network issues using unique solutions. David’s work may seem unnoticeable to most, but that just means he’s doing his job right.
IT is continuously evolving, which necessitates consistent research and development. It’s what keeps David excited about both the field and his role. He views it as an ever-changing puzzle with no one correct way to fix everything. A company’s needs change constantly, particularly a company like DELTA |v| with the sheer volume of data it collects and stores. It’s critical to stay on top—and as much as possible, ahead—of things.
David stays just as busy outside of work as he is in the office. He offers photography and videography services to personal clients across the country, designs and builds forensic computers for a friend’s company, and runs a few eBay stores for high-end speaker and A/V equipment. He also enjoys tinkering with his cars; everything from swapping out engines and drive trains to designing parts from scratch.
